What an emergency call gets you

Stop the Water First. Fix It Properly After.

An emergency visit is not a repair. It is the thing that stops your house getting worse while we arrange the repair — and confusing the two is how people end up disappointed.

Tonight

Emergency tarping

From $195

  • Immediate weather protection over the failure point
  • Storm damage repairs typically $900 – $2,500
  • Stops further water entering the structure
  • Completed in a single visit, usually within hours
  • Damage photographed while it is fresh, for your insurer

Right when: water is entering now, a storm is still passing, or it is 2am and nothing else can happen until daylight.

Once it is dry

Permanent repair

Quoted after inspection

  • The actual entry point found and repaired, not the stain patched
  • Decking checked where water has been sitting
  • 24-month workmanship warranty on the repair
  • Written estimate before any work begins

Right when: the roof is dry enough to work on safely and we can see what actually failed. Twenty common repairs are priced on our repair page.

Why we will not do a permanent repair in the rain

Sealant does not bond to a wet surface, and a repair made on a soaked deck fails within months. Anyone willing to do one in a downpour is either inexperienced or will be back to charge you again. Houston's Emergency Roof Repair Services.

What we do instead: tarp it properly tonight, come back when the roof is dry, and do it once. If the tarp needs to stay on for several days because the weather will not clear, that is the right answer even though it looks like the slower one.

What actually happens after a major storm

Two to four hours holds on an ordinary night. After a hurricane or a widespread hail event, nobody meets it — not us, not anyone. When several thousand roofs fail in the same afternoon, every roofer in Houston is triaging.

We prioritize active water intrusion over everything else. If it is raining into your house, say so when you call, and say which room. A roof missing shingles with no water coming in can wait a day; a ceiling filling up cannot.

We would rather tell you honestly that it will be tomorrow morning than promise tonight and not turn up.

Storm damage that needs an insurance claim rather than an emergency callout? Storm & hail damage repair covers documentation, adjuster meetings and replacement.

Commercial building? Flat roofs, TPO and EPDM membranes, ponding water and multi-tenant access are a different job — see commercial roof repair. Same 24/7 line, same 2 to 4 hour response.

Urgent questions

Emergency Roof Repair Questions

My roof is leaking right now. What do I do first?

Move what you can, catch what you cannot, and call. Get electronics and furniture clear, put a bin under the drip, and cut power to the area if water is near any fitting or outlet.

Photograph everything before you clean up — it costs nothing and it is what an insurance claim runs on. Then call. Do not go on the roof.

If a ceiling is sagging or bulging, leave the room. Trapped water is heavy and ceilings do come down.

Are you really available at 3am on a holiday?

Yes. The line is answered 24 hours a day, every day of the year, including Christmas and Thanksgiving. After hours it rolls to the same on-call number for both offices, so either number reaches us.

There is no separate out-of-hours charge for the callout.

What does an emergency callout cost?

The same as any other repair — from $195, with most single-issue repairs between $350 and $900 and storm damage work typically $900 to $2,500. There is no separate out-of-hours surcharge.

Tarping to stop an active leak is quoted on the call, and the permanent repair after we can see what actually failed. Twenty common repairs are priced in full on our repair page.

Will you tarp it, or actually repair it?

Usually tarp first, repair after. Sealant will not bond to a wet surface, so a permanent repair made in the rain fails within months.

If the roof is dry and the failure is straightforward, we may do the repair on the first visit. If it is not, we tarp it properly and come back — and we would rather tell you that than do it twice.

How long will a tarp hold?

A properly installed tarp will hold for weeks, and through further rain. It is a temporary measure, not a fragile one.

That matters after a major storm, when the permanent repair may be several days out because every roofer in the city is triaging at once.

Do you handle the insurance side?

We document the damage thoroughly and meet your adjuster on the roof. We do not file, negotiate or settle claims — in Texas that is the work of a licensed public adjuster, and a roofer offering to do it is offering something they are not licensed for.
