The largest of the six by population. Buffalo Bayou runs along its southern edge, and Harvey flooded homes along it. Large lots under mature oak — which means shade, moss on the north slope, and limbs down after every wind event.
Piney Point Village

Among the highest-value residential land in Texas. One-acre-plus lots, custom builds, and a higher share of slate, clay tile and standing-seam metal than anywhere else we work. Its own permit office and its own inspector.
Bunker Hill Village

West of Piney Point, similar lot sizes, heavy pine and oak canopy. Pine needles pack valleys here the way they do in Tomball. Many roofs from the 1990s rebuild wave are now at replacement age.
Hedwig Village

The commercial one — Memorial City Mall and the I-10 frontage are inside Hedwig. Retail and office roofs alongside the residential streets north of the freeway. We handle both.
Spring Valley Village

Our office is on its western boundary. Blalock Road, Bingle, Campbell — we are here daily. Smaller lots than the southern villages, more 1950s–60s ranch homes, some on their third roof.
Hilshire Village

The smallest — a few hundred homes east of Spring Valley. Established streets, mature trees, and a permit process that runs through the village office on Wirt Road.

Not a village — unincorporated Memorial, City of Houston permits — but the same customers ask for it. Nottingham, Thornwood, Memorial Bend, Wilchester, Yorkshire. Same crews, same office.

Six permit offices, not one
Each village issues its own permit and sends its own inspector. Piney Point's rules are not Hedwig's. A Houston permit is the wrong permit here — and the inspector will say so on the day.

More slate, tile and metal
Custom homes on acre lots mean a far higher share of clay tile, slate and standing-seam than the metro average. Each has its own failure mode — cracked tiles, slipped slates, seam fasteners — and none is an asphalt repair.

The canopy
Mature oak and pine over most streets. Shade grows moss on the north slope, needles pack the valleys, and every wind event brings limbs down. Most emergency calls here are impact, not uplift.

Do the Memorial Villages need a City of Houston roofing permit?
No — and a Houston permit is the wrong one. Each of the six villages is its own incorporated city with its own permit office and inspector. Hunters Creek, Piney Point, Bunker Hill and Hedwig share a joint building department; Spring Valley and Hilshire each run their own. We pull the right permit for your village, and we know what each inspector asks to see.
Do you work on slate, tile and metal roofs in the Villages?
Yes. The Villages have a far higher share of clay tile, slate and standing-seam metal than the rest of Houston, and each fails differently — cracked tiles at the eave, slipped slates below a valley, backed-out fasteners on a seam. None of it is an asphalt repair, and we quote it per roof rather than from a table.
Where is your nearest office to the Memorial Villages?
1220 Blalock Rd #345 — on the western boundary of Spring Valley Village, and five minutes from every one of the six. That is why the 2-to-4-hour emergency response is realistic here rather than aspirational.
My home flooded in Harvey. Is roof damage from that covered?
It depends on where the water came from. Water that came up from the ground is flood insurance, not the homeowner policy. Water that came through the roof because the roof was damaged is the homeowner policy. How much does a roof replacement cost in the Memorial Villages?
Asphalt runs $8,000 to $20,000 across four packages at $325–$650 per square, and Village homes tend toward the upper end — larger roofs, more complexity, more slopes. Slate, tile and metal are quoted per roof; metal alone runs $700–$1,200 per square. Nothing upfront on any of it.
