Leaves, pine needles and debris come out of the gutters and downspouts by hand, bagged and taken away — not left on your lawn. Then a blower clears the dust and shingle granules left in the trough.

One per household
The gutter tune-up is limited to one per household. You can buy it as a gift for friends or family within our service area; the one-per-household limit then applies to the household receiving it.

One- and two-story accessible homes only
Available for one- or two-story homes with accessible gutters. Three-story homes are excluded for safety reasons. Where a ladder cannot be set safely — over a pool, on a steep bank, or blocked by a structure — we may need to quote differently or decline.

The $149 price covers up to 100 linear feet of gutters. Additional linear feet are billed at $1.50 per foot, and our technician gives you a clear quote before any additional work begins.

JC&C Roofing Company is not responsible for damage to screens, micro-mesh or any other leaf-covering system that may occur while detaching or resetting them during the service. If yours are glued down, please tell us when you book.

What does gutter maintenance include?
Proper gutter maintenance covers four things: removing what blocks the water, sealing where it leaks, securing what holds the gutter up, and checking that the water ends up away from the house. Cleaning alone only does the first.
Our tune-up does all four in one visit, and adds a slope measurement and a photographed inspection of the roof and gutters, including the fascia behind them — the places a neglected gutter causes damage.
Do you wash or pressure-wash the gutters?
No. The gutter tune-up does not include washing, rinsing or pressure-washing. Leaves, pine needles and debris are removed by hand and bagged, and a blower clears out the dust and shingle granules left behind.

Do you re-level gutters that are not sloped correctly?
Not as part of the tune-up. We measure the slope along each run and photograph where it is out, so you can see it for yourself. Re-hanging or re-leveling a run to correct its fall is a separate job, and we quote it separately — you are never charged for finding out.
How often do Houston gutters need maintenance?
Twice a year for most homes — once in spring, and once in fall before the leaves drop.
Under pine canopy it is different. Needles fall year-round and mat together rather than washing out, so homes in The Woodlands, Spring, Kingwood, Tomball and Magnolia usually need clearing quarterly.

Is it safe to clean my own gutters?
The risk is the ladder, not the gutters. Around 500,000 people a year are treated for ladder-related injuries in the United States, and most fatal falls happen from ten feet or less — which is gutter height.
The common causes are the base slipping and overreaching sideways instead of climbing down to move the ladder. What you can do safely from the ground is watch where the gutter overflows in heavy rain; that shows you where the blockage is.
What if you find rotten fascia behind the gutters?
We stop, photograph it, show you and give you a complimentary estimate. Fascia repair is carpentry rather than gutter maintenance, so it is not in the tune-up price, and nothing is done without your approval.
Can I combine roof and gutter maintenance in one visit?
Yes, and it is usually the sensible way to do it — one visit, one setup, and the roof edge is checked from above and below. The roof tune-up starts at $199 and is recommended every three to five years; the gutter tune-up twice a year.
Do you repair or replace gutters?
Yes. If a run is beyond sealing and tightening, we will say so rather than take $149 to postpone it. See gutter installation and repair.
