01

The lines are straight

Look along the courses. Straight lines mean the crew chalked the roof properly before laying a single shingle. Wavy courses are the first sign of a rushed job, and they never straighten out.

02

The edges are finished

Starter strip at the eaves and the rakes, drip edge underneath, and the shingle overhang is even the whole way round. This is the part wind attacks first.

03

The penetrations are clean

New pipe jacks, painted to match. No roof cement smeared anywhere — if you can see a black smear on a new roof, something was flashed wrong and covered up.

When any roofer shows you a photograph, look at the edges and the penetrations rather than the colour. The middle of a roof is easy. The edges, the valleys and the places pipes come through are where roofs are won or lost — and where a photograph tells you the truth.

What $6,999 Actually Buys

Most roofing offers give you a price and a shingle brand. This is the whole system, component by component.

  • Complete tear-offExisting shingles and underlayment removed and hauled away. One layer.
  • Synthetic underlaymentRoofNado or Rhino, ASTM D4869. Not felt.
  • GAF Pro-Start® starter stripAt the eaves and rakes, to help prevent shingle blow-off.
  • GAF StormGuard leak barrierValleys, chimneys and every penetration — the places roofs actually leak.
  • GAF Timberline HDZ shinglesUL 2218 Class 3 impact-rated, with GAF LayerLock® technology. Lifetime limited warranty on the shingle itself.
  • Six nails per shingle1¼″ hot-dip galvanized ring-shank. Six, not four — and the ring shank grips the decking so nails do not back out.
  • New plumbing pipe jacksYour choice of Oatey IPS or Bullet Boot, painted to match the new roof.
  • Drip edge1.5″×1.5″ galvanized pre-painted, matched to your shingle colour.
  • Wall & chimney flashingInspected and sealed.
  • Ridge ventUp to 40 linear feet included.
  • PlywoodUp to 3 sheets free, $75 each after.
  • Complete clean-upAll debris hauled away, magnetic sweep of the yard and driveway.
  • Professional supervisionThroughout the project, not a drop-off and collect.
  • GAF System Plus Warranty50 years non-prorated against manufacturing defects, covering the shingles and every qualifying GAF accessory — starter, leak barrier and ridge.
  • 5-year workmanship warrantyJC&C labor warranty, on top of the GAF material coverage.
  • Complimentary pressure washDriveway and sidewalk. A gift, not a line item — scheduled separately. See the terms.

What “Class 3” means

UL 2218 is the impact-resistance standard, tested by dropping a steel ball onto the shingle. Class 3 survives a 1¾″ ball. Class 4 — the top rating — survives 2″.

This offer is Class 3, and we would rather say so than let you assume otherwise. If you are in the hail corridor — Cypress, Tomball, Conroe, Klein, Spring — a Class 4 roof is worth asking about, and the Texas Department of Insurance states Class 4 earns the highest premium credit of the four classes, set by each insurer. What Class 4 actually means →

One thing we will be straight about

The ridge cap on this offer is cut 3-tab shingle — field shingles cut down and used as cap, rated 25 years. It is what keeps the price at $6,999, and installed properly it is a serviceable cap that meets code.

We would still rather you upgraded, and we will tell you why. A manufactured hip-and-ridge product is thicker, purpose-shaped and has its adhesive where a cap needs it. GAF Z-Ridge or TimberTex is $7.50 per linear foot. On a typical ridge and hip run that is a few hundred dollars, and it is the part of your roof most exposed to weather. Ask for the figure on your own ridge length before you decide.

Before you decide on a price this low

Check Who Is Actually Doing the Work

A cheap roof from the wrong company is the most expensive roof there is. Storm-chasers advertise low prices in Houston every season, take a deposit, and are gone before the first leak. We have been here since 2013 with no BBB complaints — and these are our reviews, not a selection of them.

Excellent service. We are very happy with their work and customer service. They explained the entire roof replacement process to us. On the day they said they would do the work, they were on time and finished it. The next day, Christian came and checked that everything had been done correctly. We highly recommend them. They are a serious and responsible company.

Went on Angi's List to find a roofers to fix leaks coming into home. Had several come out but JC&C put a temporary fix on during a rainy spell. They were our third, but we went wirh them immediately. Then on top of that, they provided 3 estimates. Damage now up to improvements that would be needed down the road. Finally had it done in under a day. Don't go anywhere else!

I had a great experience with the JC&C team. Like many homeowners, I got several quotes after discovering a roof leak that needed immediate attention. The first company I met with told me I needed a full roof replacement and quoted me around $20,000. When I met with the team at JC&C, I explained that I had just purchased my first home and wasn't prepared for such a major expense right after my down payment. I even shared what the other company had quoted me (which, in hindsight, probably wasn't the best idea!). Instead of taking advantage of the situation, they gave me an honest assessment and recommended only the repairs that were actually needed. Their quote came in at just a few thousand dollars, and that level of honesty and integrity spoke volumes. The entire process was seamless, the work was completed professionally, and I haven't had a single issue with the leak since. I'm incredibly grateful I found JC&C and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone—especially first-time homeowners who are still learning the ins and outs of homeownership. It's refreshing to work with a company you can truly trust. Thank you, JC&C team!

Christian was very professional and courteous. He walked you through the process of roof repair, the options for materials, the roof survey with a drone and inspection of the attic. They even cleaned the driveway for you. Great people, good communication him and his associates on the phone. He was recommended by my neighbor, and I now understand why. Thank you, JC&C :-)

Highly professional, my ceiling suddenly caved in due to roof leak. they came out during torrential rains and installed temporary tarps immediately without asking for a pricing or any other conditions. This act of kindness won my heart and I decided to work with them. From start to finish they completed the project as per building codes, using preselected materials and highly trained team of workers. They documented each phase of their work with 2000 + photo album of the project. I thank the friend who referred them and so I to the public at large. They are one of best in Houston area.

Had a new roof and gutters installed in 2021. Excellent service. Have referred two neighbors. Recently, we had hail in May 2026. JC&C Roofing called to do an inspection of the 2021 roof. They found minor damage to a few shingles and he noticed gutter's needed to be blown. His office will be scheduling the work this week. We are pleased and HAPPY. JC&C is a class A company!

What an amazing company to deal with. This is the second time having them out for different projects and they couldn't be more professional and helpful. They took the time to explain everything to me and answer all of my questions. The pricing is great and the professionals that come to the home couldn't do a better job. The only company that I will ever call for my roofing needs.

Repair an Asphalt Shingle Roof JC&C was great with communication, especially in terms of the estimate, what exactly would be done and when, and with payment. All of the work was done within a single day. They took pains to lay down tarps and plywood to protect the landscape and the windows. They also provided access to a customer portal with photos of the repair and installation of the new roof step by stop. It was a great, quick, and efficient experience.

I initially came across JC&C via a KPRC news story where they assisted a customer with a roof replacement issue. The way they took care of the customer and the great work they did made me take note. Some time after that I ended up using them for several minor roof repairs of my own. They showed up on time for both estimate (price was fair) and repairs. They worked quickly and cleaned up was spotless. I would definitely consider JC&C as my first choice when ready to replace my roof.

JC&C performed an excellent job in replacing my roof. The crew arrived on time as scheduled, replaced the bad wood and did an extraordinary job installing my new shingles. The employees were very professional, did an excellent job and thoroughly cleaned up everything when the job was completed. Christian was very responsive in giving me estimates also explaining everything and I felt very comfortable in using JC&C services and I'm glad I did. I also like the quick responses and support I received from Yolanda also I like the videos on their website which explains a lot for any of your roofing needs. The company is top notched and very professional. I highly recommend JC&C to anyone who needs any roof work or replacement in protecting your home or business.

I want to share my experience with JC&C roofing. As you know, after the last hurricane Beryl, with all the damage to the roofs, it has been almost impossible to find anybody to come and fix things. I called the people who roofed my house and they said that they could not come and would not know when they would. Walking down my neighborhood on Thursday, I saw a truck of JC&C working on a roof. I came to talk to them and told them that I had a relatively small job in my house (the cap of an exhaust pipe had been blown up during the hurricane). He said that is was dangerous to fix it then because it was raining, but that they would come as soon as possible. Well, that meant two days later and now my roof is fixed! Thank you Mr. Paniagua!

On a visit to my elderly parents who live in Sugarland, I live in Austin, I found that a filled rain gutter had been flowing in the wrong direction and caused the end piece of the roof eave and soffit to rot. Being remote, I had to get onto Yelp and try to find a company that could rebuild the soffit, fix bad flashing, and put in a new gutter. This led me to JC&C and they did a fantastic job. From the moment I called them to see if they could handle this type of job, they were in constant contact through: email, text and direct phone calls. They gave me estimated times for the inspection-bid as well as the service and they showed up on time. In addition, they have online pictures (where I got these that I'm posting) of the inspection, during the construction, and the completed project. These pictures assured me of the quality of their work, from my remote home. And although they don't do gutters, part of their bid included gutter replacement which they subcontracted out and I didn't have to go searching for a gutter company. Very pleased with JC&C.

Install or Replace an Asphalt Shingle Roof After a little bumpy start when the first group of roofers looked at the job and decided the roof pitch was too steep and drove off. That delayed the start by a couple of days but once the next group of 9 roofers started they were awesome. They worked for 2 & 1/2 days over 10 hours a day and along with the companyâ s owner direct involvement the job was extremely well done, right down to the clean-up. I have already recommended JC&C to several of my neighbors and will to anyone else requiring roofing services.

The service is just perfect from everyone in this company. You are never on hold when you call. The ladies that dispatch the calls are courteous and efficient. The appointments are easy to make and always kept. We had our roof entirely re-done by them. They came on time, and completed the roof on time. Maintenance is absolutely the best. We had a minor leakage after a storm and the repair technician came the next day and fixed it right away. He inspected the entire roof to make sure that everything was in order. Very knowledgeable very professional. I recommended them to several people.

Let me tell you all of the reasons that JC&C Roofing is the way to go for the most important investment you will put on your house. 1 - Product Knowledge. Christian, the owner, came out to provide a quote. He took some measurements and then scheduled a time to come back and deliver his proposal. This allowed him time to compile all of the data and figures to ensure that the quote given is the final price without any hidden expenses. They have several products the offer and will provide detailed quotes and a plethora of information about everything they sell. 2 - Production. Once we decided on the product package we wanted, which was the Diamond Package (thank God for financing). Christian had a crew swarm on our house the very next day. The worked so hard and got 99% of the job done on the first day. The next morning they were back out to finish the last minute touches. The owner was onsite for most of the project, checking in that I was happy with the work and always asking if I had any questions or concerns. 3 - Service. I can't rave enough about Christian. So rare is it to find someone that is polite, kind, funny, honest, and just an overall good person. Christian is good people. Plain and simple. I honestly feel like he treated us like he would want to be treated and I have a great amount of respect for his customer service, dedication to his craft, and earning the respect of those around him. I am confident that if I should have any issues in the near future with this new amazing looking roof, that he would be back out in a hot second to take care of me. Great Product. Great Company. Great Owner. Great Team. Great Job!! A++

We decided to go with JC&C Roofing which was the best decision we could have made. While sometimes it took a little longer to hear back from Christian, the workers were on time. Fixed all the issues and gave us a brand new roof that is so gorgeous I believe my neighbors are jealous. Christian also added attic vents and took down old satalite dishes at no charge. The kicker was he also had someone come by and pressure wash the house and drive way with no extra charge. Christian stated any problems just to contact him. Add to it he also dealt with our insurance company so we did not have to. I could not ask for a better individual or company to have work on my home!

I discovered several shingles in my backyard after some recent heavy storms in our area and I was concerned for the integrity of our roof. I scheduled an appointment for a roof inspection through JC&C's website and received two emails confirming the appointment. Abraham Barrera performed the inspection, was prompt, courteous, and thorough. He called 45 minutes before arrival, took a number of photos of our roof so we would have proof of any issues, and also inspected an exhaust pipe for our water heater that we had some concerns about. It turned out that the shingles I found in our yard were actually from the neighbor's roof and our roof was fine. Abraham sent us the photos he took even though no work needed to be done and the INSPECTION WAS FREE. I told him I would let our neighbors know about their roof and Abraham gave us a business card to pass along. I don't know how expensive (or not) their repair costs are, but I would definitely hire them to work on our roof in the future.

JC&C Roofing was by far the most professional roofing company we had come give us an estimate. Michael took time and walked on roof, took pictures of damage. They were loaded with work and the wait time was 3-4 weeks and the price may have been reflective of their work load. Very professional and I believe they would have done great work if we would have awarded them.

We had a major hail storm come through our area and the damage was so extensive that our roof needed to be replaced completely and the house needed a lot of cosmetic repair. When you have major work like this that needs to be done, it's never fun to hassle with insurance claims etc. and the business responsible for fixing the damage. My experience with Christian and the men who worked on my house was exceptional. I can truly say that the process was so much smoother on their end than I could have possibly anticipated. I was very impressed with the communication and responsiveness of Christian. He stopped by numerous times to check on the progress and to update me. All the men who worked on my house were very professional and courteous. I will absolutely use this company again for any needs concerning the upkeep of my home. I feel that I've found a business that I can trust and I know will do an amazing job. The house looks new.

What Could Change the Price

Every promotional roofing price in Houston has conditions. Here are ours, in the same size type as the offer.

Roof size

The offer covers 20 squares. Additional squares are $4.25 per square foot — $425 per square. A square is 100 square feet.

Roof pitch — steep

This offer is priced for 5/12 and 6/12 pitch. Above 7/12 carries an additional charge — steeper roofs are slower and more dangerous to work on, and they need more safety equipment.

Roof pitch — low slope

Below 4/12, GAF StormGuard must replace the synthetic underlayment across the entire roof. Low-slope roofs shed water slowly, so water sits and works sideways under shingles — synthetic underlayment alone will not hold it out.

+$1.25 per square foot$125 per square. StormGuard is a self-adhering membrane and it costs several times what synthetic does — but on a low-slope roof it is the difference between a roof that lasts and one that leaks.

One layer only

The price assumes one existing layer of shingles. A hidden second layer means more to remove and haul.

Height

More than three storeys carries an additional charge — access, safety equipment and time.

Chimney counter-flashing

Inspection and sealing are included. Replacing counter-flashing around a chimney is $795. Copper flashing is not included in this offer at any price.

Ridge vent

Up to 40 linear feet included. Beyond that is quoted per foot.

Ridge cap

3-tab composition, 25-year. Z-Ridge or TimberTex upgrade at $7.50 per linear foot.

Plywood

3 sheets free, $75 each after. Nobody can see the decking until the old roof is off.

Measurement

A third-party company measures your roof. Not us, not an estimate from the ground — an independent report, so the square count is not our opinion.

Complimentary pressure wash

This is a gift, not a line item on the contract. Driveway and sidewalk, available only when we complete your roof replacement — it is not a standalone service and it has no cash value.

It is scheduled separatelyWe batch pressure washing by area and run two or three homes on the same day, which is what keeps it complimentary. That means it usually happens a week or two after your roof is finished, not the same afternoon. It is not a condition of final payment — the balance is due when the roofing work is complete and you are satisfied with the roof.

When this offer ends

31 December 2026 — or sooner. The offer is capped at a set number of roofs, and it closes when that number is booked.

A major storm ends it immediatelyIf a hurricane or significant hail event hits the Houston area, this price disappears the same week. After a storm every crew in the region is booked, labor rates rise sharply, and the manufacturer discounts that make $6,999 possible are withdrawn. We would rather tell you that now than honour a price we cannot actually deliver. Anyone still advertising a pre-storm price a month after a hurricane is either not busy or not telling you the truth.

We measure before you commit. The free measurement tells you your actual square count, pitch and layer count — so you know whether this offer fits your roof before anyone signs anything. If it does not fit, we will say so and quote you properly instead.

Why this offer exists at all

GAF and a Factory-Certified Contractor

The partnership

GAF is North America’s largest roofing manufacturer, and we are one of the relatively few contractors they certify. Together we put together a complete replacement offer for the Greater Houston area.

GAF products are rated #1 for quality and innovation by contractors and home builders in the U.S., and #1 in quality in the Builder Brand Use study for eight of the last nine years.

If you are staying in your home and want the roof done properly, this is the offer to take — premium GAF shingles and accessories, installed by a factory-certified contractor, with the warranty coverage that follows from both.

Why certification matters

A roof is one of the largest single investments in a house. Choosing a factory-certified contractor is your assurance that you are dealing with a reputable professional rather than someone passing through after a storm.

To be factory-certified, a contractor must be:

  • Properly licensed for the work
  • Adequately insured — ours is $2,000,000 general liability
  • Committed to ongoing training, not a one-time sign-up
  • Holding a proven local reputation that the manufacturer checks

The certification can be withdrawn. That is what makes it worth something.

Questions About This Offer

How long does this offer last?

Until 31 December 2026 — or sooner if either of two things happens. It is capped at a set number of roofs, and it closes when that number is booked. And a major hurricane or hail event ends it immediately. After a storm, every crew in Houston is booked within days, labor rates rise sharply and the manufacturer discounts that make $6,999 possible are withdrawn. We would rather tell you that now than advertise a price we cannot deliver. If you have been thinking about it, the quiet season is when this price exists.

Is $6,999 really the whole price?

For a 20-square roof at 5/12 to 6/12 pitch with one existing layer, yes — tear-off, disposal, the full GAF system, clean-up, the GAF System Plus Warranty and the complimentary pressure wash. Additional squares are $4.25 per square foot, and the other conditions are listed on this page in the same size type as the offer. We measure free before you commit, so you know whether it fits your roof.

Which Timberline shingle is it, exactly?

GAF Timberline HDZ, rated UL 2218 Class 3. Timberline is a family, not a single product — HDZ, HDZ RS, UHDZ and NS are all Timberline and they are not the same shingle. HDZ carries GAF’s LayerLock® technology and is the shingle this offer is priced on. Class 3 is not the top impact rating; Class 4 is. If you are in the hail corridor, ask us about Class 4 — it is a different package and we will quote it honestly.

How big is 20 squares?

A square is 100 square feet of roof surface, so 20 squares is 2,000 square feet of roof — typically a home of around 1,400 to 1,700 square feet of floor area, depending on pitch and overhang. Roof area is always larger than floor area.

Is the $93 a month accurate?

Yes. $6,999 at 9.99% APR over 120 months works out at $92.45 per month, so $93 is the rounded figure. With approved credit — a soft credit check shows what you qualify for without affecting your score. Shorter terms at 8.99% over 70 months are also available.

What is not included?

Copper flashing is excluded entirely. Chimney counter-flashing replacement is $795 if needed. Decking beyond 3 sheets is $75 each. Below 4/12 pitch, StormGuard must replace the synthetic underlayment at +$1.25 per square foot. Ridge vent beyond 40 feet, roofs above 7/12 pitch, homes over three storeys and second layers all carry additional charges — all listed on this page.

Why is the ridge cap 3-tab?

Because that is what holds the price at $6,999. Cut 3-tab is field shingle cut down and used as cap — rated 25 years, and installed properly it meets code and works. We would rather you upgraded to GAF Z-Ridge or TimberTex at $7.50 per linear foot — a manufactured hip-and-ridge product seals better and lasts as long as the roof. Ask for the figure on your ridge length.

When does the complimentary pressure wash happen?

Usually a week or two after your roof is finished, not the same day. We batch pressure washing by area and run two or three homes together — that is what keeps it complimentary rather than a charge. It is a gift, not a line item on your contract, and it is not a condition of final payment: the balance is due when the roofing work is complete and you are satisfied with the roof. We will call you to schedule it.

Do I pay anything upfront?

No. 50% is due when the crew arrives on installation day and 50% when the work is finished and you are satisfied. Nothing before that.

Who measures the roof?

An independent third-party measurement company, not us. You get a report with the actual square count, pitch and dimensions — so the number this offer is priced on is not our opinion.

What if my roof is bigger than 20 squares?

Then the offer still applies to the first 20 and additional squares are $4.25 per square foot. A 25-square roof would be $6,999 plus five squares at $425 each. We tell you the number before you commit, not after the old roof is off.

Ends 31 December 2026, or sooner

Find out if your roof fits this offer

We measure first. If your roof is bigger, steeper or has two layers, we tell you before you commit — and if the offer does not suit your house, we quote you properly instead.

This price is capped at a set number of roofs and ends after any major storm. It is not a countdown timer — it is what actually happens to roofing prices in Houston after a hurricane.
